European experts' mission to assess Moldovan Interior Ministry's needs

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - A mission of European Commission experts has come to Chisinau, in order to assess the needs of immediate intervention for strengthening the capacities of action of the interior affairs system in crisis situations.

According to the Interior Ministry (MA), Minister Ana Revenco today presented to the evaluation mission members those three big needs, in order to enhance the capacity of action of Moldova’s interior affairs, as factor of stability and security in the region, through: providing support for developing the capacity of intervention of EU’s Security HUB in Chisinau; development of a Strategic Intelligence Centre; speeding up the implementation of the strategy of development of the interior affairs, in accordance with the European security policies and fulfillment of the EU acquis.

The delegation of experts from EU’s institutions on the days to come will go to several regions of Moldova, including the border zone, in order to identify, along with MAI specialists, priorities of financial intervention necessary for the interior affairs.
