Moldovan deputy PM pays working visit to Cosnita plateau

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Minister Oleg Serebrian, along with representatives of the Reintegration Policies Bureau have paid a working visit to the Cosnita plateau. On the visit, they held discussions with representatives of the local public administration, the leadership and staff of education and medical institutions, local councilors, as well as economic agents.
According to the Reintegration Policies Bureau, during the visit, the sides reaffirmed the need to join efforts of the central and local public authorities for the optimal management of the current problems and backing the citizens in overcoming the problems faced.
The discussions with representatives of the Dubasari district council, mayors of the settlements Cosnita and Parata took place against the background of complex agendas. The subjects tackled were focused on aspects regarding the access to farmlands, rehabilitation of the centralized systems of water and sewerage supply, enforcement by Tiraspol of the so-called taxes for economic agents.
At the same time, the local public authorities signaled about the urgent necessity to establish a post of rescuers and firemen, meant to quickly intervene in emergency situations.
Another aspect of major importance and up-to-dateness referred to the illicit extraction of natural resources in the quarry placed in the Cosnita settlement.
Representatives of the competent department signaled subjects in the field of social assistance and certain peculiarities related. The sides emphasized the imperative character of meeting the social needs of some categories of people, including children without parental care identified.
The fact-collecting visit was a good occasion to familiarize with the current problems concerning the education process and the state of the buildings of the education institutions available in the settlement.
The sides highlighted the multi-sectoral contribution, as a result of the implementation of projects financed through the programme of activities of Moldova’s reintegration, with impact on the modernization and endowment of institutions, as well as of the performance of the public utility services.
Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian appreciated the local public authorities for abnegation and involvement in the settlement of current problems. He gave assurances that the problems set forth would be brought to the knowledge of the national competent authorities, in order to identity potential ways of their overcoming and solving.
