Moldovan president meets U.S. Ambassador

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has met Ambassador of the United States to Moldova Kent Logsdon. The officials discussed the current situation in Moldova and in the region, as well as the relations between the two countries.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state appreciated the very good bilateral relations, noting the importance of the cooperation in more sectors, especially the energy one. President Maia Sandu thanked for the assistance the USA had been providing during years and for the budgetary support worth 30 million dollars, recently provided to Moldova; these are funds meant for overcoming the energy crisis, compensate the citizens’ bills and back the economic agents.
