Eleven trucks, ambulance towed by firemen, policemen in southern Moldova

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - Employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) of the Interior Ministry (MAI) from southern Moldova have intervened in towing 11 TIR trucks, after they had been stuck in snow nearby the Reni-Giurgiulesti border crossing point.

According to IGSU, also today, employees of the institution, jointly with law-enforcers, de-blocked the road to the border crossing point Giurgiulesti-Galati, so that the vehicles do not remain stuck in snow.

The assistance of rescuers was needed also in Taraclia, where an ambulance coming from a patient remained blocked on road. IGSU employees intervened on the spot, who managed to take the ambulance out of the snow banks.

In the context, IGSU reminds that the State Hydrometeorological Service issued a weather warning of precipitation.
