Moldovan president meets Danish PM

Chisinau, 31 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today met Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, who stopped in Chisinau after a visit to Ukraine: "It is the first visit of a head of the Danish Government to the Republic of Moldova and I am sure that this meeting will give a new impetus to bilateral relations and will strengthen our cooperation in the context of the country's European integration", said Maia Sandu.

According to the presidential press service, the president said we have potential for cooperation in the renewable energy and waste management, chapters in which Denmark is a European leader. Also, it is desired to increase economic exchanges and Danish investments in the country.

"Economic growth, trade, cooperation between countries - all these bring prosperity to people, and we are determined to continue efforts to give citizens a better life. But for development we need above all peace", Maia Sandu said.
