20th edition of Made in Moldova exhibition inaugurated in Chisinau

Chisinau, Feb. 1 /MOLDPRES/- About 350 local entrepreneurs participate in the 20th edition of Made in Moldova exhibition, which was inaugurated today at the Moldexpo center. Visitors will be able to come to the event until February 5.

Visitors can find the best local products, from food, confectionery and bakery products to furniture and textiles. In the Central Pavilion there are companies from the agro-industrial and agricultural sector, food and beverage products, as well as collective exhibitions of the authorities from several districts of the country. Industrial enterprises, textiles and furniture, as well as other consumer goods can be found in the second pavilion.

At the opening of the event, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița thanked local entrepreneurs because, despite the multiple crises, they managed to develop, create new products and new jobs. "I am proud to be a loyal consumer of Moldovan products. 2022 was a complicated year, with many overlapping crises. Despite the difficulties, our entrepreneurs manage to find success, maintain and increase the number of jobs, find new outlets and adjust to new business conditions", said Gavrilița.

The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sergiu Harea, said that after a two-year break caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the most anticipated exhibition event of the year - Made in Moldova National Exhibition returns in force with a jubilee edition. Its slogan "Made in Moldova - Made for You!", represents the perseverance of domestic entrepreneurs and the devotion of Moldovan consumers, Sergiu Harea said.

Delegations from several countries are expected at the event, including Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Japan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy and Belgium. 

During the five days of the exhibition, entrepreneurs will also be able to participate in an extensive business program, including the Moldovan-Romanian business forum, the winemaking forum, round tables, trainings and bilateral meetings.

The event is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the patronage of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, in partnership with the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development.

The main purpose of the exhibition is to support domestic producers, promote competitive products on the domestic and foreign markets, attract investments and intensify the public-private dialogue.
