Landholders can apply for grants for soil protection projects

Chisinau, Feb. 2 /MOLDPRES/- Landholders can apply for grants in advance for investment projects to improve and protect the soil. The application can be submitted before 7 March.

According to the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA), investment projects that will not exceed 1 million lei (500 thousand euros) will be eligible for the competition, and the state support will be 80% of the value of the initiative.

Applicants who will promote initiatives to prevent soil erosion, chemical improvement and increase its fertility will be able to benefit from subsidies.

The subsidy applicant can be a legal entity /private people or a first-level administrative-territorial unit, who owns or uses land, and is going to implement the project in a first-level administrative-territorial unit.

The files can be submitted to the territorial offices of AIPA.
