Local authorities to be able to create inter-community development associations in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today adopted, in the second reading, a draft law on the inter-community development associations.  

Thus, the local public administration authorities will be able to create associations of inter-community development, in order to jointly carry out development projects of local or regional interest.

The document adopted regulates the way the inter-community development associations are set up, work, are reorganized and liquidated. The associations will have an apolitical, non-profit character; will be able to be created from two or more administrative and territorial units of the first and second levels, in order to jointly provide public services for the community. The association’s leadership bodies will be the general assembly, the association’s council, the commission of censors and the director. 

At the same time, at the today’s plenary meeting, the MPs approved a draft law which envisages the amendment and adjusting of the connected normative framework to the provisions of the law on the inter-community development associations. The main provisions of this draft regard the regulation of aspects of association between local public authorities for the organization and providing of public services.
