Moldovan president handed out awards to several people of culture

Chisinau, Feb. 3 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu handed out awards to 53 people of culture for their outstanding successes in their creative work and the high professional skill through which they contribute to the promotion of the nation's spiritual values. The decree was signed on the National Day of Culture, the presidential press service has reported.

"I was glad to see in the Presidency a remarkable concentration of talent, spirit, personality and creative energy. Moldova is rich and beautiful through its people, and each of them contributes to the creation of the portrait of our country", said the head of state.

Maia Sandu said that in these moments of great tension, when every day can bring us a new crisis, a new source of danger, the contribution of artists is significant. "Fortunately, our artists have not abandoned their vocation and mission because creative people always find the strength to fully manifest themselves as creators, mentors, promoters and defenders of the soul of this people. Thank you, dear people of Culture!", the head of state said.
