Parliamentary faction of Moldova's Action and Solidarity Party takes note of PM's resignation

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliamentary faction of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) today informed that it had taken note of the resignation of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita. PAS noted that it would support and ensure the creation of a new cabinet.     

In a message placed on his page, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu thanked Natalia Gavrilita ‘’for dedication and effort.’’   

„In the last year, Moldova has faced more unprecedented crises, with economic, social, energy threats and even existential ones. Despite the seriousness of the challenges, the country was governed responsibly, with much attention, with dedicated work. Many wanted Moldova to collapse; yet, due to this government, peace and stability was maintained in our country. Due to the efforts of the government, we supplied the country with energy; we identified crucial financial assistance from our international partners; we provided compensations and increases, in order to be with the people,’’ the message reads.     

Igor Grosu specified that, on the next period, President Maia Sandu would hold consultations with the parliamentary factions. ‘’The PAS faction supports and will ensure the creation of a new government, which will focus on the security challenges and the economic development,’’ the message also reads.
