Chisinau, February 14 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met members of the reading club of Spiru Haret high school in the capital this afternoon on National Reading Day, and learned how enthusiastic they are in relation to the way literature and reading have influenced the perception of life, the presidential press service has reported.

"These young people of the 9th grade are aware of everything that is written on both banks of the Prut, they follow every book release, they go to literary events - both here and in Romania, and the writers come with pleasure, but also with emotion, at the meetings of their Club", said the Head of State.

Maia Sandu said that today the Open Book National Campaign was launched, through which it is proposed to expand throughout the country not only the experience of these young people, but also the experience of others, like them.

"It doesn't take much - just a friendly space, enthusiasm, passion and a thirst to discover new things. I urge you, dear young women and men, to discover new worlds through books, to discover yourselves. To grow, fly and learn to believe in yourself!" said Maia Sandu.
