Fuel prices fall for third week in row

Chisinau, February 17 /MOLDPRES/ - Fuel prices fall for the third week in a row. In this interval, standard diesel registered a price decrease of 2.93 lei per liter, and COR 95 petrol became cheaper by 0.87 lei per liter. The data were presented today by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE).

For the next three days, ANRE has set a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 24.81 lei, down by 0.02 lei.

ANRE noted that the level of prices for petroleum products depends only on developments on the international market and any possibility for oil companies to intervene in the process of their establishment is excluded. The legislation ensures that both increases and decreases in the retail prices of petrol and diesel are in strict correlation with the level of Platts quotations for these products.
