Fragments of rocket found in Briceni district do not present any danger

Chisinau, February 17 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) announced today that the fragments of the rocket detected in the Briceni district do not pose any danger.

According to the MAI, the search for the fragments has ended in the border area. The remains of the rocket and other detected components were picked up and stored on the territory of the Large Border Police Sector and are to be subjected to expertise. After the checks, the specialists came to the conclusion that the fragments do not pose any danger.

Border Police opened a criminal file which, together with the accumulated materials will be forwarded to the prosecutors.

A patrol of the Border Police discovered yesterday in the Briceni district the remains of a missile, originating from the Russian air attacks against Ukraine. It is the fourth case in which the remains of some rockets fall on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
