Moldovan deputy PM visits commune in eastern district

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian, accompanied by representatives of the Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the Reintegration Policies Bureau, today paid a working visit to the Corjova commune, eastern Dubasari district, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.     

In a dialogue held with local public administration’s representatives and commune’s residents, the Moldovan officials tackled the difficulties faced by the settlement, as well as aspects concerning its development and modernization.   

Among the priority subjects discussed, the sides highlighted the problem of public utility buildings from the settlement, development of the local infrastructure, as well as the need to modernize the educational and cultural buildings from Corjova.    

Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian visited the Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum from the commune and closely considered the spectrum of problems faced by this education institution, triggered by its specific territorial placement.   

The deputy prime minister for reintegration reaffirmed the necessity to boost the cooperation between the central and local public authorities, in order to optimize the process of management of the current issues and of major importance for the settlement, aimed at backing the citizens in overcoming the difficulties identified.   

The local authorities were encouraged to actively participate in competitions on community development projects, financed both from state budget means and by foreign partners.   

In this regard, Oleg Serebrian reiterated about the programme of activities on Moldova’s reintegration, which is underway and through which the Corjova commune has earlier benefited from three projects worth 740,000 lei.
