Allocations for more categories of residents to increase in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - The quantum of the state monthly allocation provided to more categories of residents will be increased. The MPs adopted a draft law to this effect today.  

The legislative initiative was submitted by Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and the other two lawmakers of the Action and Solidarity Party’s (PAS) faction, Boris Marcoci and Dan Perciun. The document sees the increase of the allocation provided to the participants in the Transnistria War, combat actions from Afghanistan and combat actions on the territory of other states. The people with disabilities and the spouses of the survivors of the World War II, combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence and the Chernobyl accident relief works will benefit from increases of allocations as well.  

At the same time, the monthly allocations for the children of the disabled people in the wake of the war, who died, children of the participants in the Chernobyl accident relief works, who died, will grow. The allocation is envisaged for the children up to the age of 18 years or after this age, if they continue studying at education institutions at day courses till the end of the education.    

The increased allocations will be provided also to one of the parents of the participants in combat actions in peaceful times or in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, who died while fulfilling their duty of seasoned military service in the Soviet Army of National Army or of the participants in the Chernobyl accident relief works, who died.    

The increase will be 250 lei for each category. Thus, depending on the category of beneficiaries, the minimal quantum will increase up to 800-1,800 lei and an overall sum of about 90.6 million lei is to be provided from the state budget on this purpose.
