Sewerage system from central Moldova town to be extended

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Over 8,000 residents of the central Nisporeni town and 4,000 ones from the Varzaresti commune, Nisporeni district, will benefit from access to extended sewerage system, within a regional project, till the summer of the 2024 year.   

The team of implementation of the project titled, Prut-Nisporeni Aqueduct. Evacuation of residual waters, on 10 March inspected the construction site and found out that the works were carried out in accordance with the working plan. 

According to the project documentation, 42.6 km of sewerage projects and 3,200 individual conserved septic tanks will be constructed. ‘’The programme’s goal is to develop the sewerage infrastructure in the aforementioned settlements and extend the services of service provided by the Apa-Canal Nisporeni Enterprise,’’ the Centru Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru) said.  

The overall value of the project is more than 46 million lei (2.3 million euros) and the sum demanded from the National Fund of Regional and Local Development is of over 41 million lei, which is 90 per cent of the project’s overall cost. Another 10 per cent represents the applicant’s contribution.  

The construction works started in July 2022 and they are planned to be finished in the summer of 2024.
