Moldovan athletes won top spots at European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship

Chisinau, March 15. /MOLDPRES/- Greco-Roman wrestling team of the Republic of Moldova recorded remarkable results at the European Under23 Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship 2023, held on March 10-15 in Bucharest (Romania).
Athlete Alexandrin Guțu won the gold medal in the category of up to 77 kilograms (U-23). Vitalie Eriomenco won the bronze medal in the category up to 63 kilograms (U-23). The victories achieved by the athletes in Greco-Roman wrestling also belong to the coaches: Mihail Cucul, Roman Zgardan.
The participation in the competition was possible thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), and the athletes and coaches will benefit from monetary prizes offered by the MEC during the Sports Gala, traditionally organized at the end of the year.
