Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre from Iasi to make tour to Chisinau

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Vasile Alecsandri National Theatre from Iasi, Romania, will stage two plays in Chisinau, on 25-26 March, during the ninth edition of the Theatre Meeting. The 2023 year issue marks events of reference from the common history of the two countries, Romania and Moldova: the Union of the Romanian Principalities from 24 January 1859 and the Union of Bessarabia with Romania from 27 March 1918.  

The event is held with the support of the Mihai Eminescu National Cultural Institute in Chisinau and the Iasi city hall. The tour from this year brings two success plays of the Iasi Theatre: 1984 and Gaițele (The Jays) on the stage of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre from Chisinau.

„ReUniuni Teatrale” (Theatre Meetings) is a project with tradition of the Iasi National Theatre and was initiated to bring together theatre creators and audience from both banks of the Prut river, in order to promote a common spirituality.
