Moldovan president has meeting with team of Organization for Entrepreneurship Development

Chisinau, 24 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today got acquainted with the team of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA). The head of state discussed with more entrepreneurs, who had received financing on behalf of the state to start and develop a business or to sell their products and services outside Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.    

In the context, the Moldovan president stressed that, on the last period, ODA had gone through major transformations and became a transparent, efficient institution, a real bridge between the state and entrepreneurs.  

„This platform backs the development of entrepreneurship through programmes of non-refundable financing for startups, programmes on training entrepreneurs and by facilitating the access to financing through providing financial guarantees. The entrepreneurs present at the discussion informed me about the importance of ODA programmes for small- and medium-sized businesses, especially in the context of the economic crisis we are facing. They appreciated the institution’s openness to back innovating ideas and projects, which help them not only overcome the momentary problems, but also come up with new approaches in the way how they increase their business,’’ President Maia Sandu said.      

At the same time, the head of state noted that, this year, efforts were focused on the re-launch of the economy: ‘’The state will continue supporting the business environment, including through enhancing the access to cheap resources. We will support entrepreneurs who work honestly, create jobs and pay taxes. The more success businesses we have, the more the well-being of the families and of the country will grow,’’ President Maia Sandu added.
