Moldovan defence minister says there is no risk of imminent attack against Moldova at present

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The situation at Moldova’s borders stay tense, given the war in the neighbour country and its consequences. Nevertheless, at present, there is no the risk of an imminent attack against Moldova. At the same time, the Moldovan government has all instruments to ensure the security and order on the country’s territory. Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii has made statements to this effect in an interview given with the AGERPRES Agency, quoted by MOLDPRES.    

Asked whether there is the risk of an imminent attack against Moldova, Minister Anatolie Nosatii that ‘’at present there is no such a scenario.’’ ‘’This is due to the courage and dedication of the Ukrainian people, which currently fights for security, independence, sovereignty and, at the same time, for the democratic principles on the European continent,’’ the official noted.  

The minister showed confidence that, on the next period, ‘’the situation on front will change dramatically in favour of the Ukrainian Army, which will allow us being in a more stable security environment.’’  

Anatolie Nosatii also said that Moldova ‘’uses all diplomatic instruments for strengthening the defence capacity, including the cooperation with the European Union.’’
