Green Line of Moldova's Border Police receives over 10,000 calls since early 2023

Chisinau, 25 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Green Line of the Border Police since early 2023 has received more than 10,000 phone calls on behalf of citizens. In most cases, operators’ assistance was demanded by parents who were to cross the border with minors, as well as by citizens who need information on the situation at the state border crossing points.

‘’The frequent questions regarded the conditions of crossing the state border for people, as well as the regime rules in the border area,’’ the Border Police said.

The questions on behalf of foreign citizens referred to the requirements of the state Republic of Moldova for authorizing the crossing of the state border. They also asked for information on the conditions for getting the visa to enter/transit Moldova, as well as the rules of crossing the border to and from Ukraine.

Ukrainian citizens put questions on possibility to cross Moldova’s border with internal Ukrainian documents, the period of stay and the steps for getting temporary protection in Moldova.
