Moldovan president says leadership brings European Union home, to country's communities

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today visited the residents of the Bacioi commune, Chisinau municipality, on the occasion of the inauguration of the public park and the summer theatre from the settlement. On this occasion, the head of state addressed people with a congratulatory message: ‘’We bring the Europe Union home, to our communities. Romania accompanies us step by step, in this effort to improve the quality of living in our villages and cities and is unconditionally with Moldova on the European way,’’ the presidential press service has reported.
At the same time, President Maia Sandu said that, on this important day for all Romanians, who celebrate the 105th anniversary of Bessarabia’s Union with Romania, we celebrate the ever closer relation between the two banks of Prut. ‘’We export ever more products to Romania, we have renovated kindergartens and schools with money of the Romanian state; we construct bridges and joint border checkpoints; the Romanian state contributes to the development of the communities from Moldova. The people from both banks of Prut are more united than ever in the common intention for this part of Europe to be one of peace, well-being and justice. On this day, the strong friendship between Chisinau and Bucharest has a particularly important symbolical charge and every day brings concrete benefits to our citizens,’’ the head of state said.
Also, Maia Sandu today congratulated the residents of the Bacioi commune, on the inauguration of the public park and the summer theatre from the settlement. ‘’The park from Bacioi was built with the contribution of the European Village Programme. Through our works at all levels and with the support of Moldova’s friends, we will modernize our settlements, so that the Moldovans want to live at home,’’ Maia Sandu added.
