12 youth centers to be equipped with technical equipment, furniture

Chisinau, March 29. /MOLDPRES/- Twelve youth centers in the Republic of Moldova will be modernized and become more attractive, offering new facilities for young people. They will be equipped with furniture, laptops and other IT equipment, from the sources of the Ministry of Education and Research. The total value of the investment amounts to over 685,000 lei. The decision was approved at today's cabinet meeting.

According to the government's communication and protocol department, the equipment and furniture sent from the administration of the Ministry of Education and Research to the local public authorities will be distributed, free of charge, to equip the youth centers in the localities: Geamăna (Anenii Noi), Sireți (Străseni), Cupcini (Edineț), Vasilcău and Badiceni (Soroca), Ștefan Vodă, Balti municipality (Youth Centers "CRAT", "Contemporanul" and "Făclia"), Molovata Noua and Ustia (Dubăsari).

Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală said that the ministry encourages local authorities to contribute to the creation of quality multifunctional spaces dedicated to young people, at the same time offering support in the development of youth programs.

To date, 22 district/municipal youth centers (including their branches in 19 rural localities) have received support from the Ministry of Education and Research.

The action is part of the National Program for the Development of Youth Centers, which provides for the provision of a favorable and friendly environment for young people in the Republic of Moldova, including by creating the minimum conditions for the provision and expansion of quality services for young people, especially in rural areas.
