Police cars to be equipped with special signaling devices

Chisinau, April 4 /MOLDPRES/- Vehicles with priority traffic regime of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) will be equipped with special light and sound signaling devices, which will not be visible from the outside. A decision in this regard was approved today by the Government, at the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to allow IGP cars to remain unnoticed in road traffic, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Changes on exterior equipment are necessary for IGP vehicles to meet modern measures to prevent and counter terrorism, and other types of crimes that present increased social danger.

Under the new provisions, police officers equipped with such vehicles will be able to react and intervene immediately upon the request of subdivisions that need help in emergency situations.
