Moldovan authorities urge drivers to be careful on road

Chisinau, April 6 /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, the territorial units of Roads company have intervened in the country's regions with prevention works, combating snowdrifts and snow removal, to ensure the accessibility of national routes, which are still being driven in winter conditions.

Roadmen intervened in Ungheni, Călăraşi, Dubăsari, Căușeni, Hâncești, Râșcani, Ștefan Vodă, Comrat, Leova, Ceadâr-Lunga, Ocnița, Cahul, Edineț, Fălești with 130 special units and the involvement of 44 road workers. "In the technological process, 727.5 tons of mechanized anti-skid material, 25 tons of manual anti-skid material and 79.7 tons of technical salt were distributed," indicates the State Road Administration (ASD).

ASD warns drivers to drive with caution, to adapt the speed to the traffic conditions, to go on the road only if their vehicles are properly equipped for winter conditions and to inform themselves in advance about the weather conditions.

According to meteorologists, today the weather does not undergo major changes. Precipitation continues to fall in all its forms. The wind will blow weak to moderate, isolated with intensifications. During the day, the maximum light air temperature will rise to +2..+7°C.
