Former Romanian senator declared undesirable person by Chisinau authorities

Chisinau, April 28 /MOLDPRES/- Romanian citizen Cristian Rizea has been declared an undesirable person on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for a period of 15 years and returned to the Romanian authorities by the General Inspectorate for Migration /IGM/.
According to legal procedures, Rizea was removed under escort from the national territory by the specialized staff of the IGM.
Under the legislation, declaring the foreigner an undesirable person is an insuring measure, ordered against a foreigner who has carried out, is carrying out or in respect of whom there are solid indications that he intends to carry out activities likely to endanger national security or public order.
Former Romanian senator Cristian Rizea, sentenced definitively to 4 years and 8 months in prison with execution for influence peddling, money laundering and influencing statements, was extradited to Romania yesterday evening and taken by the Romanian police to be taken to the penitentiary.
