Chisinau, April 28 /MOLDPRES/- National Army supreme commander, President of the country Maia Sandu awarded the supreme rank of brigadier general to deputy chief of the General Staff Sergiu Cirimpei. The decree signed in this regard was published in the Official Journal today.

According to the decree, the rank of brigadier general was granted to Sergiu Cirimpei under art. 88 b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, art. 25 (2) j) of the Law on national defense and art. 19 (2) of the Law on the preparation of citizens for the defense of the Motherland.

We specify that, currently, in the Republic of Moldova, more than 80 people hold the rank of general in various force structures of the country.
