Moldova's National Health Insurances Company to schedule cancer patients for high-performance medical services

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/ - The National Health Insurances Company  (CNAM) starting from today will make the scheduling of cancer patients for high-performance medical services (SIP).   

According to CNAM, the decision was taken, in order to facilitate the access of these patients to SIP and avoid certain irregularities in the long run, recently detected by CNAM following the assessment of the way the concerned services are prescribed and provided.   

Thus, the Oncological Institute will daily present, through email, to CNAM the forms on sending patients to high-performance medical services, as well as the report generated from the Information System, Reporting and Record of Medical Services (SIRSM) on the list of patients for whom the concerned services were indicated. At the moment of the service’s prescription, information on diagnose, the need to establish the degree of spread of the tumor process, the emergency of scheduling will be compulsorily mentioned.     

CNAM will verify the compliance of the medical prescriptions presented by the Oncological Institute and will schedule the high-performance medical services. Also, CNAM will inform the patients about the date and hour of the scheduling for the investigation concerned and will compile the weekly report in the scheduling of the primary cancer patient from the list of prescriptions presented by the Oncological Institute.    

The scheduling by CNAM of the primary cancer patient through SIRSM will be carried out in pilot regime on the period May-September 2023.
