Moldovan president, more representatives of agricultural sector have discussion on European Moldova Assembly due on 21 May

Chisinau, 3 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met more farmers, with whom she discussed the situation in the agricultural sector and possibilities for development. The head of state noted that, to develop this sector, Moldova needs more investments and types of financing, the presidential press service has reported.
The participants in the discussion said that the European Union was Moldova’s principal economic partner and that most Moldovan products go to the European market. In the context, President Maia Sandu stressed that, due to EU’s support, the country would continue modernizing the agriculture, developing the processing industry and enhancing the quality of the products.
The agricultural sector’s representatives who attended the discussion confirmed their presence at the European Moldova Assembly on 21 May, in order to clearly say that the country’s place is in the European Union.
