Cyber security in Moldova strengthened by trilateral cooperation agreement

Chisinau, May 5 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova, together with the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization of Romania signed a memorandum of understanding with Amazon Web Services (AWS) from the USA.

The agreement aims to set a cooperation framework for the transfer of best practices and knowledge in the new technologies, the development of digital solutions, as well as the implementation of joint digital transformation projects.

Thus, the Governments of Chisinau and Bucharest, with the support of Amazon Web Services will work together to use the global expertise and digital solutions of AWS. This will help facilitate the development of the joint initiatives of Moldova and Romania on the digital transformation of the two states and increasing the level of cyber security.

"Our efforts are directed towards the digitization of services and the development of cyber infrastructure, ensuring a reliable digital space for citizens and the business environment. This agreement represents a new step of the Republic of Moldova towards the digital transformation we are pursuing. We will work towards achieving the general objective of the agreement", said Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the cooperation will support ministerial efforts in the digital transformation and the use of cloud services, as well as new technologies in the public and private sectors of Moldova and Romania.
