Students from four Moldovan universities to have courses of electoral education

+Chisinau, 5 May /MOLDPRES/ - Four universities from Moldova will pilot the optional course of electoral education in the 2023-2024 academic year.

The courses will be given with the support of the UNDP Moldova, in partnership with the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE), through the project, Consolidation of democracy in Moldova through inclusive and transparent elections. The project is financed by the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Chisinau, through the Good Governance Fund and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Moldova.

Thus, students of the partner universities from Chisinau, Comrat, Balti and Cahul will get basic knowledge in the electoral sector, will study the contemporary electoral systems, will learn what elections are and their typology, which are the electoral management institutions from Moldova. Students will analyze the role of mass media on the period of the elections; will learn about the importance of the electoral culture as part of the political one.
