Moldovan president conveys congratulatory message on Europe Day

Chisinau, 9 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today has come up with a message, in which she says that on 9 May we celebrate the peace and unity of the European family, the presidential pres service has reported.

„This is the first year, when we mark the Europe Day as a country candidate for accession to the European Union and I am sure that one day we will celebrate the Europe Day as full-fledged member of this great family,’’ the Moldovan president said.

Maia Sandu stressed that Europe had united, in order to prevent the wars and ensure the right to life and to happiness for all European citizens: ‘’Now, Europe unites us – all people of Moldova – in order to win our de jure place among the European countries. Moldova will strengthen and will enrich the European Union. Long Live, Europe! Long Live, European Moldova!,’’ the head of state said.
