Education Code to be amended in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Education Code will be adapted to the present needs. An initiative which envisages legislative amendments to this end today was considered at a meeting of the parliamentary commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media.   

The draft on amendment of the Education Code proposes the introduction of new notions in the training system and exclusion of other ones, standardization of the legal provisions concerning the standard package of educational information, authorization/accreditation of education institutions, as well as the adoption of a new approach in the work of the services of psycho-pedagogical assistance in the general education.  

As for the vocational education, the initiative sees the switch of the office of social pedagogue to the category of didactic positions, clearing up of the way of setting up and reorganization of private vocational education institutions and exclusion of the professional Baccalaureate.

At the same time, in accordance with the new provisions of the Education Code, for the first time ever, provisions will be included on the dual training in the higher education, conditions will be created to attract practitioners from various sectors of professional training and the academic mobility will be consolidated, in order to enhance the improve of the university education.
