Moldovan president hands Order of Honour to Czech translator

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today handed the Order of Honour to a translator from Romanian in the Czech language, Jiří Našinec.

According to the presidential press service, the distinction was awarded to the Czech translator under presidential decree for prodigious activity in the culture field, substantial contribution to the promotion of the spiritual values of Moldova’s nation, outstanding progress made in the creation activity and high professional mastership.

Jiří Našinec is university professor and is the most active Czech translator of writers from Moldova. The head of state appreciated the translator’s interest in the literature from Moldova and thanked him for the promotion, through culture, of Moldova’s image in the Czech Republic.
