Over 1,000 minors benefit from psychologists' consultancy at Child's Phone in Moldova since early 2023

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - Over 1,000 minors have benefited from psychologists’ consultancy at the Child’s Phone – 116111 – since the beginning of this year. Data to this effect was unveiled in the context of the marking of Children’s Day on 1 June.      

The Child’s Phone was launched in 2014 and has been called by about 49,000 minors since then. In 2022, 2,851 minors benefited from psychological counseling, information on the rights of the child and notifications on cases of infringement of children’s rights.   

Psychologists from the Free Telephonic Assistance Service for Children – 116111 – emphasized the need to be aware of the fact that ‘’the interest in the child should be priority and that all children must benefit from the support they need, from protection of rights, life and health, from qualitative education, equal opportunities and professional support in situations when the family cannot guarantee them.’’    

The Child’s Phone service is free of charge, confidential and anonymous and works daily 24/24.
