Chisinau, May 31. /MOLDPRES/-The preparations for the European Political Community (EPC) Summit on June 1 are in the final stages. The first official delegations have already started arriving in the Republic of Moldova. National security authorities announce that throughout the country the activities proceed in a normal regime. The security measures applied for the Summit are being installed gradually and have an increased level of flexibility, so that inconveniences are minimized for citizens.

Thus, according to the data from today's morning, the Chisinau International Airport operates as usual, without disruptions in the flow of passenger processing and without delay of scheduled flights. The landing of the more than 20 official delegations will not affect the flight schedule for today, May 31.

In the time interval 00:00 (local time), June 1, 2023 - 07:00 (local time), June 2, 2023, the airspace of the Republic of Moldova will be declared a temporarily restricted area for civil aircraft flights and other space use activities. Only aircraft carrying official delegations to the Summit will be allowed to fly during this time.

Currently, all land border crossings have a regular operating regime. Authorities with border duties register a normal flow in all crossing points located on the border with Romania, as well as those with Ukraine. In the event of an increase in traffic, several special measures will be applied: supplementing the number of employees in the first line of control and portable document reading equipment, making maximum use of the crossing point infrastructure, training officers of the European Agency FRONTEX in border control and surveillance activities.

With the arrival of the official delegations in the Republic of Moldova, road traffic on the route Airport - Chisinau will be partially suspended, as the official columns will go to the accommodation units. Road traffic will be redirected to alternative routes by patrol inspectors.

Ambulances and emergency vehicles will have a special travel regime.

Citizens are urged to comply with the requirements of law enforcement, to respect the signs of police officers, traffic rules, as well as to park legally.
