Moldova head of state thanks President of France for support, presence at EPC Summit

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has thanked President of France Emmanuel Macron for support and presence, at Summit of European Political Community, the presidential press service has reported.     

„I was glad to see again President of France Emmanuel Macron in Moldova, at the Summit of the European Political Community, hosted by our country. I thanked him for the initiative to create this platform of dialogue, so necessary in the times through which Europe goes. The European countries should work more closely as ever, in order to stop the barbarian war waged by Russia in Ukraine and reestablish the peace on the continent,’’ the Moldovan head of state said.   

„In the efforts of accession to the European Union, our country enjoys unprecedented support and solidarity on behalf of France, for which we repeatedly thank President Macron. Moldova will turn to good account this support, in order to contribute to the strengthening of the democracy in the EU bloc and in its neighbourhood. Moldova is Europe and we will prove this through concrete reforms,’’ Maia Sandu added.
