Three localities still cut off power due to last week's bad weather

Chisinau, 2 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- Three localities in the country are still cut off power due to heavy rain and strong wind of last week. Prime Minister Dorin Recean made the statement today.

The premier said that tomorrow he will pay a visit to the territory to see how the works to liquidate the consequences of the bad weather are being carried out. At the same time, he thanked the teams involved in the works.

Last week, the government allocated over 16 million lei for the provision of material aid to 74 localities in six districts of the country that were affected by the bad weather recorded during July 25-26.

Heavy rain and strong wind on July 25 and 26 caused damage in several localities in the north and center of the country. The most damage was recorded in Edineț, Soroca, Dondușeni, Râșcani, Drochia and Hâncești districts.
