Former MP Tudor Deliu passed away

Chisinau, Aug. 5 /MOLDPRES/- Former MP Tudor Deliu died yesterday evening at the age of 67.

Party colleagues said that he suffered "from a cruel illness, which crushed him and which he endured discreetly and humbly".

The politician was born on October 29, 1955, in Malcoci, Ialoveni district. In 1990-1994, Tudor Deliu was mayor of Răzeni village in Ialoveni district. He was a university lecturer and lecturer, MP of Moldova between 2010 -2019, on the lists of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM), serving as head of the parliamentary faction of liberal-democrats and secretary of the legal commission on rules and immunities.

In September 2018, Tudor Deliu was elected as PLDM leader, a position he held until August 2020.
