ANRE: petrol and diesel prices influenced by lowest level of crude oil production in last two years

Chisinau, August 11 /MOLDPRES/ - The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) records a sharp increase in international Platts petrol and diesel quotes. Thus, only during the last sessions, fuel quotations increased by about $45-70/ton, which represents an increase of about 5-7%.

Consequently, for the next three days, ANRE set a maximum price for COR 95 petrol of 25.76 lei per liter, increasing by 0.06 lei. At the same time, diesel will be sold at a maximum of 23.13 lei per liter, up by 0.14 lei.

The constraints, amplified by the Russian Federation's decistion to cut crude oil exports by 0.5 million bpd in August and by 0.3 million bpd in September, have pushed the price of a barrel of oil to around $87. At the same time, the situation regarding navigation in the Black Sea area still remains uncertain, which puts additional pressure on the delivery costs of oil products traditionally transported on this route.
