Moldovan deputy premier chaired working meeting with those responsible for coordinating EU accession process

Chisinau, August 11 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu chaired today a working meeting with cabinet members, as well as with heads, secretaries and members of the working groups responsible for coordinating the EU accession process of the Republic of Moldova, the MAEIE press service has reported .
They approached the concrete activities set in our action plan, with the objective of bringing our country closer to the European Union.
"We have carefully examined the application of measures aimed at increasing the level of preparation for meeting the accession criteria. We are currently preparing the self-assessment of the compliance of national legislation with EU rules and regulations. We have agreed that by October 1, 2023, the working groups for the 33 chapters of the EU acquis will assign each ministry the necessary documents to be transposed into national legislation.
We are firmly committed to promoting fluent and effective communication between ministries. We are closer to the values, standards and opportunities offered by the European Union", said Nicu Popescu.
