Great national dictation to be organized in Moldovan capital on Romanian Language Day

Chisinau, August 15 /MOLDPRES/- On Romanian Language Day, on August 31, in the square of Maria Biesu National Theater of Opera and Ballet, the great national dictation will be organized, in which all those who want to test their level of knowledge of the Romanian language can participate.

Teachers, students, representatives of various professions are expected to participate in the competition. The organizers estimate that the event will gather at least 500 people. Finalists will be announced in early September.

Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun said today at a press conference that those who wish to participate in the event can register on the website of the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) www.mec.gov.md.

The essay contest was opened today, with texts to be sent to the ministry by August 24. Essays must contain 500 words. They will be evaluated by a special committee, which will nominate five finalists. Winners will be awarded on August 31 with vouchers for purchasing the books. Essays can be sent to the email address: dictare@mec.gov.md.

The great national dictation will start at 10.00.
