Chisinau, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Dorin Recean met at the Government with the 100 participants of Programme DOR - Diaspora. Origin. Returns. The young people, coming from 20 countries, spoke about the experience they had in the camp, expressing their enthusiasm and joy to make new friends, to get to know the traditions of the country and the tourist destinations it has, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Prime Minister Recean had an interactive dialogue with the young people, answered questions and spoke about the measures taken by the Government to develop the economy and support entrepreneurship, encourage tourism and promote the image of the Republic of Moldova abroad.

"Our priority is to be part of the European Union, to develop the country in such a way that we feel as good in Moldova as in any European country. I hope and encourage you that one day you will return home. You have at least three reasons to do this: emotion - here are your roots, the educational system - which is advancing more and more, the liberalization of the business environment - which will provide well-paid jobs", said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

He also encouraged young people to get actively involved in the life of the communities they belong to: "I want a better involvement of young people in politics, with new visions and ideas. Basically, the politician has the responsibility to look into the future and to have the ability to attract the whole society after him, towards a progressive future".

The DOR camp is organized every summer by the Diaspora Relations Office within the State Chancellery and aims to strengthen the cultural ties of children from the diaspora with their country of origin - the Republic of Moldova. Thus, for 10 days, the participants of the program are trained in various artistic, linguistic, sports, tourist activities, knowledge of history and culture of our country.
