President meets representatives of Ukrainian community in Moldova

Chisinau, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu had a discussion with several members of the Ukrainian community in the Republic of Moldova, around August 24, when Ukraine celebrates Independence Day, the presidential press service has reported.

The official expressed solidarity with the neighboring country and firm commitment in condemning the war and atrocities committed by Russia. From the first days of the war, Moldova has been with the Ukrainian people and will continue to be with Ukraine on the path to European integration.

Those present at the meeting thanked the president for the opening and all the support provided by the Republic of Moldova to the Ukrainians who had to leave their homes and homeland due to the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
