Number of trolley buses moving in Moldovan capital increases starting September 2023

Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/ - The number of trolley buses moving in Chisinau has been increased starting from September.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the Chisinau Electric Transport Administration, Dorin Ciornii, said that the issuance during autumn had increased from 297 to 332 transport unis, as a result of an increased flow of passengers.

„During summer, the transport units which stood in trolley bus parks were subjected to maintenance works and preparation for autumn. They include the verification and replacement of worn out components, carrying out of technical inspections, revising the electric systems, as well as the making of the repairs needed. These actions are essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of the transport units,’’ Dorin Ciornii said.

Presently, 434 trolley buses are in the records of the enterprise’s park.
