GENERAL LOCAL ELECTIONS 2023: Summary of October 15

Chisinau, Oct. 15 /MOLDPRES/- Today's electoral agenda, October 15, included a public action, in the context of the general local elections, organized by the Moldovan National Party (PNM).

PNM leader Dragoș Galbur and his team announced today a "courageous and significant initiative - the renaming of Pushkin Street to Queen Maria Street". "This proposal is based on the desire to honor the remarkable legacy left by Queen Maria of Romania in the city of Chisinau and to recognize her outstanding contributions to Bessarabian Romanians," according to the formation.

Dragoș Galbur and the PNM believe that the renaming of Pushkin Street is a way to celebrate the shared historical and cultural ties between the Republic of Moldova and Romania, as well as to inspire other organizations for such initiatives.

Today, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) approved several decisions. Thus, the CEC confirmed 29 people as interpreters from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

Representative of the Political Party MIŞCAREA RESPECT MOLDOVA in the Central Electoral Commission during the electoral period of the general local elections of November 5 was confirmed.
