Voters can verify correctness of electoral lists' compilation in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ - Voters can verify the correctness of the electoral lists’ compilation on 16-29 October.  

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the voter can appeal to the electoral bureau of the polling station which fits his/her residence, in order to request, based on the proving documentation, the inclusion or exclusion from the list.     

According to the Electoral Code, amendments to the electoral lists can be requested not later than seven days before the day of elections. The electoral lists are submitted by CEC to the local public administration authorities not later than 22 days ahead of the day of elections. Following the making of the amendments, the electoral lists are printed repeatedly not later than seven days before the day of the polls.     

On the date of the electoral lists’ printing, they comprised 2,761,954 citizens with right to vote. At the same time, the voter can be registered only in one electoral list and at one polling station, based on the acts which show his/her residence in the area of the concerned polling station.
