Assistance for cold period of year to be provided in monthly monetary payment in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ - The assistance for the cold period of the year will be provided as monthly monetary payment. The Labour and Social Protection Ministry today made statements to this effect. The ministry made clarifications as to the way of providing the help for the cold period of the tear, meant for the people in need.
According to the new provisions, the assistance for the cold period of the year was included in the programme of compensations for energy, Assistance at Meter, and will be provided as monthly monetary payment.
The decision was taken, in order to simplify the access to the financial assistance provided for the cold season of the year and to make sure that the socially vulnerable families will benefit from support on behalf of the state, in order to cope with the expenses for heating.
To benefit from this financial support, the families will register on the platform www.compensatii.gov.md starting from 1 November 2023. The people who have no technical means or have no digital skills, will be helped to register by social assistants or librarians from the settlement.
The amendments to the procedure of providing the financial support for the cold period of the year were provided for in the law on the energy vulnerability reduction fund, changed on 15 September this year. Also, other amendments will be made to the normative framework soon, which will enforce the adjustings which have been already carried out.
