„Within the European Village and Express European Village programmes, more than a half of Moldova’s settlements implemented big projects locally, in order to bring European living conditions to our settlements. There has never been such a big support in the country history like those approximately 4 billion lei provided for compensations in invoices. Also, the government doubled the minimal pension and increased the average pension by 50 per cent.’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.

Also, the PM referred to the Growth for Moldova package of measures, which implies allocation of resources for 170,000 citizens, a 15-per cent increase in the salaries of physicians, medical assistants and hospital attendants and a growth of 26 per cent in salaries for forensic physicians.

„We allocate more than 350 million lei for the schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other public sector institutions to have assistance at the payment of invoices for heating and electric energy. The artists from the theatre and concert institutions will get a 25-per cent salary increase, the teachers - a one-off payment of 5,000 lei and the non-didactic staff – 3,000 lei. It is for the first time that each person from Moldova’s education system will receive such an allocation. We want to continue these increases and we will do this, as the teachers matter. This year, the deliveries of sweet cherries to EU increased 12-fold. Such success stories of our producers motivate us to continue the opening of new markets and opportunities, encourage the Moldovan farmers to modernize their businesses and provide quality products. We see how only blackmail and embargoes are coming from Russia, while from Europe and the West – free trade, stability and support for our farmers,’’ PM Recean added.
