Moldovan parliament appoints Alexandr Pînzari as director of National Anticorruption Centre

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved the candidacy of Alexandr Pînzari for the office of deputy director of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA). Sixty two lawmakers approved a draft decision to this effect.  

Lieutenant-colonel Alexandr Pînzari has been working at CNA since 2016 and earlier held the position of deputy director of the Centre. Alexandr Pînzari has a diploma of degree in law and master in law and has earlier worked at the Interior Ministry.  

Under the legislation, the CNA director is appointed to office by the parliament with the votes of the majority of the MPs elected, for a mandate of five years, without possibility of appointment for another mandate. His candidacy must be put forward by at least 20 lawmakers, with the positive notification of the juridical commission for appointments and immunities.
